What Do You Know About Herbs & Healing?!

What You Know About Herbs & Healing?!

Published: January 14, 2019

Smoked Sage lately? And not for a good ol’ fashioned smudging to cleanse and clear energy, but I’m talking about actually adding it to your mix of weed. When I started adding Sage to my jays, it just felt right, tasted right, smoked smoothed, and all around I knew it was great healing for the body. I figured I use Sage to clean my space of any lingering energy, so why not ingest it to cleanse any lingering toxin or inner energy for that matter that just needs some cleansing. I suggest trying out a tiny little bit of crushed and dried Sage to your next bowl or jay and enjoy the taste and amazing cleansing experience that comes after. So apparently there are different varieties of Sage one being a white sage (Salvia apiana), black sage (Salvia mellifera), and pineapple sage (Salvia elegans). Head’s up though because black Sage, Salvia divinorum, has strong psychotropic properties and is illegal in many states. <-join the list, am I right !?

After reading the article above, I am going to start adding Mullein to my mixes now. I usually just use it as a base for tea or even seasoning a salad for an earthy taste, but now I have another use for the herb.

My drink of choice this video was from TEAONIC, which has an impressive 100% Organic, natural, and unsweetened tea. I highly recommend the I LOVE MY GUT TEA, that one has ginger and clove to help ease the digestion system.

I’m on a push to thoroughly clean my intestines and inspire others to also clean their digestion system. The gut and the brain simultaneously communicate with each other so if you don’t show symptoms of an imbalanced gut-health (gas, bloating, abdominal pain, and constipation/diarrhea) then maybe your brain might explain it.  Our gut houses 2 out of 3 of our immune systems, so when they say, “all illness starts from the gut,” they really mean it. If what we feed our bodies foods that imbalance our guts, then us being prone to sickness is inevitable. Which is uneasy when you think about it really deep. Simple everyday changes to building a healthier gut are much more attainable. Start out by adding more greens to your healthier lifestyle and water! So many people drink under our water necessity. A science professor once told me, “drink water until you start peeing it out; once you start peeing out water, that’s your body’s response in saying it doesn’t need anymore for the time being. That it has dispersed the water where it needs to be and no longer needs the excess amount.” Pretty impressive the way that stuck with me. Since then I don’t pay attention to how many bottles of water I drink. This is where quality, not quantity mindset enters.

Just Moringa, Ashwagandha, and I …

Starting to put together my first care package for a sick friend and I read up on the healing properties of Moringa & Ashwaganda and all the natural healing it can do. Impressed by how overly healthy it is for us, I made a video to spread the word. Check this out… According to the ever so popular NIH (National Institute of Health) public database, they’ve reported/ recorded the on Moringa & Ashwaganda.

First, I want to highlight Moringa and its nutrient-rich, free radical love it gives us. Moringa reduces inflammation that leads to diseases like diabetes, arthritis, obesity, and respiratory problems. It is so full of antioxidants it boosts cognitive brain function and has been tested in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Moringa is also antibacterial and anti-fungal and effective against skin infections of bacteria related blood & urinary tract infections. O Yea, and one more fun fact, if you ever have a wound that won’t stop bleeding make a Moringa paste using some coconut oil and your blood will start to coagulate.

“Moringa Oleifera is variably labeled as Miracle Tree, Tree of Life, Mother’s Best Friend, God’s Gift to Man, & Savior of the Poor. In many regions of Africa, it is widely consumed for self-medication by patients affected by diabetes, hypertension, or HIV/AIDS.”

It’s easy for me to just mix Moringa in a breakfast smoothie or if I’m feeling lazy and I still want that healthy feeling, I’ll just mix a tablespoon into an 8oz glass of water and drink that at the start of my day 30 minutes before eating.

Let’s not forget love for Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha reduces blood sugar levels, kills cancer cells, lowers cortisol levels, aka the “stress hormone,” and improves brain function. I love making an Ashwagandha marinade. I use olive oil as the base oil and mix Ashwagandha with garlic, salt, fresh cracked pepper, cumin, and a dash of chili powder and use that the marinade my veggies.

” …can be used as an adjunct to cancer chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Besides having an anti-cancer effect, it will also reduce the side effects of anti-cancer agents, which invariably reduce immunity and quality of life.”
